Oh Haii I’m Anna and I run the show here at POTS N PINTS! 🍻🏺 I’m a wannabe profesional potter. I spend some of my days in my lil studio working on some of my own work (i'll share more in the future), and the rest of my days running community pottery workshops across Dorset, under the name POTS N PINTS.
After moving from Brighton during COVID I was dying to have some creative fun with friends and share my love for pottery with my hometown folk. At 🍷 no 🍷 recollect-able 🍷 moment 🍷 I came up with a night out that later became POTS N PINTS. Since it began, in August 2021, it’s evolved and spread far further than I had dreamed. We’ve created a raucous little community of potheads who get together and let loose on clay. Some of you make absolute masterpieces, others more explosive 💥 hazards. But pottery isn’t about perfectionism, its about getting creative, messy and having a ruddy good time.
My goal for every workshop is that I empower you to unleash your creativity, learn a little about clay, have fun and feel confident! I strongly believe that clay should be accessible to everyone, and want to create inclusive spaces, where everyone is welcome. As well as running the pottery in the pub nights, I am lucky enough to run private workshops for community groups across Dorset; who support some of our most vulnerable in our community. The therapeutic and healing power of clay, play and making is undeniable!
Before starting up this show, I got myself a masters degree in ceramics and worked for an incredible ceramic studio back in Brighton - Brickett Davda! So I know a thing or two about pottery.
I am so grateful for all of your support and kindness, to be a full-time pothead is my dream and it feels all the more achievable with you lovely lot behind me. I definitely wouldn’t have been able to do it without the army of lovelies that are my family, friends and potheads who continually encourage and support my journey ❤️
